So maybe we can ease our frazzled nerves over the next few days,
having had a look back through last year's message boards, the first
'decent' sized (re)sale of tickets (a thousand of them) took place on
Monday October 26th last year - from about 12 noon (they were all gone
by about half two). Given seetix and glasto festival appear to be
creatures of habit I think we might have a couple of weeks yet so it's
probably safe to leave the house, take a shower, get some sleep etc.
as there's not likely to be any available for a couple of weeks yet -
I'm getting primed for the week beginning Monday October 25th.

Looking through the boards it appears though that there were 'system glitches' where people could get tickets as early as 9th oct

I got tickets on the friday after ticket day last year guys. Lots of them. Via efestivals this was reported as system checks and we were told there would be no more. I had no idea they subsequently went on sale on monday 26th last year. I suspect any sale will be delayed this time. Still sitting here like a geek freak though.

They have always had small extra releases after the initial sale when
it has sold out quickly. Basically, loads of people's cards bounce or
they booked two or more tickets somehow and then cancel one.
Glastonbury has told Seetickets to sell a certain number and will
expect to be able to get their hands on cash to match this number ASAP
as there is lots to pay for. Only way to sort this is if they leak the
tickets when they can. This also probably fits with what Glasto would
want as it is another opportunity for those who most care about Glasto
to get a ticket.

I'm sure all ticket holders have until Monday or by Monday to confirm their transaction, so I will expect them to be on next week if there is going to be a mini sale, I'll be surprised if they do go tomorrow

Rather than sitting at PC for hours on end, might be worth just waiting for a txt or getting very organised for the official release next year. This is kind of crazy !

Well it's all speculation but I think the system has been tightened and the windows the week after TD last year were accidents due to a poor system. They were short and unpredictable. It seems the sale later in the month was longer and seemingly more deliberate. I now suspect that the 'pay balance in april only' system has been introduced so the payment section of the website can be disabled to clear up glitches. I'm still hoping though.

Fair point

I do still think that they'll have had a number of double payments and payments for tickets they can't access and if that's the case I'd expect they would want to sell them sooner rather than wait until April.

Gotta keep the faith!

Absolutely. I'm intrigued by the sale that happened later in october. Makes me hopeful. In my opinion, if sales are deliberate and aimed at the hardcore, as some believe, then they would wait longer with each passing year as interest increases and internet methods improve. Again all conjecture, but all leading me to nearer the end of the month.

MamaJo - Jo Worley- has said Monday 25 Oct is a possibility because last year that was the corresponding week that a batch of tickets were released in a resale.

Neil of eFestivals posted that See tickets will have been contracted to sell x number of tickets and pass on the money to the festival, so if See tickets haven't got the money from all sales (whether due to duplicates, cancellations or bounced payment) presumably they will have to arrange to sell the rest to pass on the total amount expected to the festival.  That makes sense, and leads me to be optimistic of a resale-but when is the question.  I can't sit by the computer every day. Also 25 Oct is the day the kids start half term so it will be difficult to get on the computer!

Hoping it will be soon- AnnaGrant/Joanne

hiya, (mamjojo here) what i saidd was that IF following last years pattern today or tomorrow might show a leak of tickets and then not for another 14-16 days. But its all guesswork and now they have changed to a deposit only system who knows!! I do agree though that see would have been contracted to sell x amount of tix deposits by x date and that glasto will be expecting that money therefore any unpaids/duplicates will need to be sold asap rather than being absorbed into the april sale.
