When I Firsted Started This Group

I wanted to welcome everyone thas has joined the group, when I first
started the group it was just my reaction to a set back of not being
able to gain a glastonbury ticket. We could all bitch and complain
about how bad seetickets is, but that is not the best way I felt I
should respond. I wanted to make a positive difference and
contribution to monitor the resales situation.

I hope everyone that joins this group eventually gets one, if not it
won't be for the lack of trying.

Chin up people, were stronger together as a team, and I believe that
we will all eventually get lucky!

Also I wanted to say, I would to have loved to set up an sms group,
but for 150 members it would have to be cost effective. The person
that ran that service last year almost lost his ticket as Glastonbury
didn't want their brand name to be sold like that (As he was charging
to cover the cost of sms) and so for that reason I won't be trying
anything similar to jepordise my ticket nearly getting cancelled!

Unofficially if people have ulimited texts etc, we could perhaps
organise a mobile chain for smaller groups.

Lets stay positive and hope for the best for one another!

i live in germany and for me it is not so easy to understand
in a different language the incredible possibilities of getting a
glasto ticket.
so i am very glad, that i found efestival chat and this group and
that so many people wants to help in very nice and lovely way.
thats gives me the right festival feeling and i am very proud of being
a part of it.

Thank you Michael... what with technology these days, i get emails to my mobile phone anyway and i find emails are instant whereas sending a large number of texts can take longer... i'll stick with the emails as my no. 1 notifier... i have added my mobile number to several groups but find that email is best in most cases.

Just letting you know I have posted a little suggestion that is much
simpler than running text groups and completely free for those of us
who get email as instantly as Texts (such as anyone with a smart

Hi mike you know you said a guy did this last year! Well I know people do get tickets in these unofficial resells. But did it work in the sense that people who were part of that network (like ours) did actual get their tickets this way ??

To my recollection, I think everyone that was part of last years group did eventually get a ticket. By sharing the knowledge of when tickets were back on resale, and by working as a team I believe nearly every got a ticket.
