Hi people,

Really hoping we all help each other bag a ticket. A bit of
camaraderie will hopefully prevent this being the first one missed
since 2000.

Just got a quick suggestion to help control the growing confusion of
different text lists, etc. As a choice when you join a Google group
you can choose to read it by email. This makes every single post get
sent to your mobile within seconds of it happening. I am set like this
so every time someone adds a telephone number or comment it comes
instantly to my mobile. As such I am checking it even more than the
seetickets site, hoping that it is notification that sale has started
again.

As most people with a smart phone get Gmail instantly it is as good
as a text message. As such I have set up a matching group for people
from who want are happy to just receive an email notification. Please
feel free to join up to that as well or instead of Text Groups. Only
post to the group though if it is to notify of a possible sale. That
way when you see the message arrive you know you need to get online
quick.

Don't know if MichaelCole (creator of this group) thinks this is a
good idea or not, but if anyone does then please try to direct those
interested to:

Good idea.

Unfortunately I still have an old brick with no email access so texts would be great.

Good luck all

Hi Simon

I think what you are saying is very sensible. It is easy to confused what is a genuine ticket alert message and what isn't and anyway to give greater clarification is a good thing.

I think we also need to look at mobile text alert groups, I think it might be a tatical move to have 7-8 people have 20 people in their chain of mobile contacts purely because not everyone has a contract which allows unlimited text messages.

I also like the idea of meet (Should we get tickets of course) I think it would be lovely to meet everyone is this group.

I'm going to get the ball rolling and say 3pm by the brothers bar on the Thursday (Not wanting to count my chickens before they've hatched)

Hopefully we can see everyone their.

Maybe start a single thread purely for text alerts? Simply add all the
numbers to the thread and take responsibility to text the 10 people
above and 10 below you on the list. Those at the top picking the rest
they need to make up 20 from the bottom and vice versa. That way
everyone is only sending 20 texts but it is enough to ensure a couple
of weak links don't wreck things. If you want me to I will go through
the many text requests and try create a thread listing the numbers
that stands out for others to add theirs too.

Oh and brothers bar on Thursday sounds a winner ;)
