Hello,

Given a choice of 80% grey, 80% green, 80% brown, which tint would you
choose to go with brown frames? Or would it be based on what colour
looks better on you?

Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

For appearance, brown lenses do seem to be the most popular choice for
brown frames, but a contrasting color tint can look very sharp, too.

Because computer screens and photos vary so much, predicting the
actual color of the product you receive, is one of the more
problematic parts of ordering online.

Since the prices are low, most of us here are willing to take a chance
and experiment.

For your vision, some brown lenses can give you increased contrast
under certain conditions, but they also change your perception of
color.

Grey and green reduce glare well, and alter colors less.

Grey-green, or G-15, is an excellent all-around choice for vision.
Vintage brown or tortoise-shell Ray-Bans look great with G-15 or grey
lenses.

The 39 Dollar Glasses site has a "click to see frame/lens color
combinations" feature in its sunglasses, which is very helpful in
visualizing how a particular frame will look with different tints.

If you are taking a poll, I would also choose brown.

I would choose brown (amber 80%, actually) or gray. The amber has the
right coloring to complement most browns, and the gray is so neutral
that it would go with anything.

I would choose 80% brown, it goes with the brown frame naturally.

Thanks everyone, the votes ended up as:

3 - brown
1 - brown or grey
1 - brown or grey or green. they're cheap, it's not a big gamble.

I appreciate the suggestion. And as the last line above indicates, if
one colour doesn't look good, those can become a backup pair and I
can order more for U$17 and change. :)
