I've ordered over 15 pairs of glasses from them and have always gotten
a reply to e-mails quickly and was always able to get someone on the
phone. For 4 days now they don't pick up the phone and their mailbox
has been full. I've tried calling all hours of the day. They also
don't respond to e-mails and their new site never went up.

Me thinks this company isn't long for this world. Any one been able to
reach them recently or have received any reply from them to e-mail?

I tried to call Zenni yesterday morning, when I first heard about this whole thing.  The phone system seems to have been modestly upgraded from what I remember last time...but I never got through to a person, and the mailbox was full.

Of course, their mailbox is often full, so that doesn't mean anything.  But, I called at 9am pacific, and usually get through at that time.

I certainly hope Zenni doesn't go out of business...they have provided me some great service!

I have had no problem reaching them via telephone (the VRS is pretty
good) but when I do get a rep, the BS meter goes off the dial. One day
last week their computer system was down most of the day but was
turned back on when the system came online. But they were still not
straightforward about why my order is so long overdue.

I had the same experience but finally got through today....I was told
that they can only have 10 people on a hold at a time - and if more
than 10, you get into their full inbox
Customer service SUCKS at zennioptical-----Day # 32 post ordering with
nothing to show, nor any response from this company so far...will
NEVER ever order again!

I hope that's not so - there were a *lot* of frames on that site that
I liked (maybe I just have cheap tastes?).

Remember, it is the Chinese New Year, so if it's specifically the past
4 days then it's probably not much to worry about. From the sound of
it, though, others on this forum have been having problems with them
for as long as a month or so. :-(

That's weird. Something I noticed but hadn't thought about before: I
didn't get a confirmation email when I ordered two new pairs of
glasses on the 19th. I've gotten confirmation emails from them before
when I've ordered. I know the order got through because it went to the
confirmation page - I've got my order number and everything. Hope I
get the glasses - I haven't gotten a ship notification yet and it's
been quite a while. I should try to call them.

Well, that still doesn't excuse them for not answering their e-mails.
I'm a VERY good customer and had a problem, and it's now 4-5 days and
they still haven't replied. Perhaps if I put "chargeback pending" I
will get a response! I'm going to try that now!

As said earlier remember its Chinese New Year. Its not a one day deal
like the American New Year. So a lot of places are closed for a week
to weeks...

I think I hold the record for patience with Zenni, waiting 6 weeks for
a simple order of a single pair of glasses, when I ordered in mid
october.

But I am wearing the glasses at this very moment (they are "computer
glasses") and they work just fine and were very cheap.

Trying to get hold of anyone in Asia this past week is a lost cause.
My place of work deals with China and Malaysia and this past week
during their Chinese New Years celebration is a lost cause.
Try again on Monday....or even better, give them a day or two to catch
up after a week off for partying. :-)

Of course, Zenni customer service IS a lost cause. Zenni either works
or it doesn't. You either wait them out and take what you get or give
up. It SEEMS like the average should work in your favor.

It was a tad hard to believe the excuse they gave me that my order was
delayed to 6 weeks due to "Customs". They do seem to be having an
awful lot of problem with Customs???

I sent an email to Zenni yesterday and got a reply this morning.  So it seems like someone is over there.

Anyone live in the same neck of the woods as Zenni?
It would be a really great backup measure if someone does,
and could just walk on over there and knock on their door!

I didn't get a confirmation email from them when I placed my order in
December. I called the next morning and the customer service person
apologized and said she'd send one right away. I didn't get that one,
either. A few weeks later, I *did* get an email notice that my order
shipped. Order arrived just under a week later.

I placed another order early last week. Same story, no confirmation
email. I just figured there's some technical glitch and it's not worth
worrying about. It's obviously a very quirky company, but - as many
have said here - for the price, I'm willing to put up with them and
take a chance.

Zenni's still shipping orders! I ordered 2 pairs from Zenni on 1/13 (1
sunglasses, 1 transitional lenses) and they arrived today, a day shy
of three weeks, so within their stated time frame. Both pairs are
perfect.

Of note: This order was shipped directly from Hong Kong, whereas my
two orders last fall were shipped from California. This is the longest
I've waited for a Zenni order, but I know going in that it'll take a
while, so I put on my Zen hat every time I place an order. Seems to
help some, although I got a little nervous this time after reading
this thread.

I got a similar email, and mine were shipped on the 4th. This is the
second shipping delay I've had from them (and it's the second time
I've ordered!), but at least they're on their way.

Just a side note - you can track and confirm Hong Kong post tracking
numbers on the USPS web site if they're shipped to the US, which is
pretty convenient.
