I think I'll need temple arms much longer than the standard 145mm.

Where can I find frames like that?
How is temple arm length measured?

I hear ya. Me too.

Not at Goggles4U. The longest they have is 140mm. There are some at
Zenni that are 148mm to 150mm long, but the frames are proportionately
big. In the search box "search for frames" type in 148mm (or 149mm,
150mm) and see what pops up. Some glasses with flexible wire (or
cable) temple arms are very long. Like this style:

Along the entire length of the temple arm. Starting at the point where
the temple arm joins the frame/lens all the way back to the end of the
part that goes behind your ear. You must measure as if you held a
piece of string along the length, not simply by holding a straight
edged ruler and measuring in between the two points.

They have a handful here up to 155mm.

You can also search Ebay in the frames section (under Health & Beauty/
Vision Care) and find a few as long as 160mm. Use 155mm, 160mm and
XXL to do your search.

I was surprised at your post because I have a big head (I consider
myself quite a big headed man) but temple lenght has never been a
problem for me. I took of my glasses and looked at the temple lenght:
150 mms. Others I have are shorter (as short as 135 mms.) and this has
never been a problem. The ones I am wearing now (optical4less) are
hingeless frameless and maybe that makes a difference. Maybe you need
larger temples for hingeless (¿?). Therefore, I don`t know if
hingeless with 150 mms would suit you, but I just wanted to pass on
the information in case it helps. We, big headed people, must stick
together.

I got titanium frames at Goggles4U that had obscenely long temples. I
have a small head, they were listed as 135 (same as #16290, only in
black). When I got them, the temples were so long that when I turned
my head, the part behind my ear would catch on my coat collar and pull
the glasses right off my face. They measured at 165.

They were a replacement for the first pair of rimless that were cut
totally wrong, so I just gave up at that point. We cut the temple
down to size and put new ends on it, but they just didn't adjust well.

I believe I saw large frames on optical4less.

I ordered "rimless" Model:T049 frames from Optical4less. They have a
section when you order glasses in which you can specify the your old
frame dimensions. I put my temple length as 150mm.
The T049 temple length says its 140mm, but when I got my glasses the
temple length was 150mm.
Which was great b/c, like you, most frames have temple lengths that
are much too short.
I am very happy with the size of these frames as now my glasses are
very comfortable.
