Hey everyone,

I found this group a few weeks ago when my doctor told me I needed to
start wearing either glasses or contacts. Then, I decided to look
around the web to see where I could find some reviews on online
eyeglasses stores and I somehow stumbled upon here. Shopping in actual
stores just don't appeal to me, especially with all the sales pressure
and what not. After browsing through this group's discussions, I
finally chose to try Optical4less. When I got there, I couldn't
believe how cheap the prices were! I heard from friends their glasses
cost $100+ but the glasses at Optical4Less ranged from $15 to $59.

As you know, I am new to this whole eyeglasses thing. I was stunned to
find that we could upload a picture and try the glasses! Extremely
amusing, I must say. After a while, I ended up choosing a rimless
eyeglass here:

I placed my order on December 9th so I am expecting to receive the
eyeglasses on the week of the 22nd. Hey, it'll be a nice Christmas
present for myself too I guess. ; )

I will update when I receive my glasses.

Thanks,
Elgin.

Hey everyone,

I'm back again. I actually received my eyeglasses on Monday 22nd of
December! I couldn't post because I was busy that day and then went on
a ski trip which was extremely fun. I could actually see where I was
skiing with the eyeglasses. They proved extremely useful while skiing
down some double black diamonds. :D The glasses were wrapped
professionally, the shipping was fast, the glasses as a whole were
flawless and it was a snug fit. I just want to thank Optical4Less for
making my first-time experience of buying eyeglasses a pleasurable
one. Thank you!

Thanks,
Elgin.

I'm curious to know something.
I'm new here to the forum and I've read a few posts from people
complaining about the wait/delay time between ordering glasses online.
Now I read this post from Elgin below. When I ordered my glasses back
in October from from Optical4Less, I received my glasses in about 12
days. To me this seemed very reasonable. But others here I've noticed
have posted having to waited many days longer to receive their
completed order. I'm just curious to know what is like a reasonable
amount of time to wait, from glasses order being ordered online until
delivery arrives, before one should consider the company has having
very poor customer service?

Elgin,

I to was thrilled to do the virtual try on thingy when I got my
glasses at Optical4Less. Since then I have realized that other online
retailers are sporting this cool online feature. I'm surprised that
there are still a lot of people online who are seeking out glasses
that still don't know about virtual try ons. Not every web retailer
has this capability on their site yet. However, I expect that in the
near future virtual try on technology will be the norm at all online
retailers. Do you agree?

Hey Tom,

To me, 12-20 business days seems reasonable.
Of course, even if it takes longer than expected, the prices you save
by purchasing from Optical4Less or any other retailers
outweight the delay. However, if the delay is double or triple 12-20
business days then that should be considered poor.

Elgin.

Hey Rudolph,

Definitely, the virtual try on technology will be on almost all the
retailers in the future.
However, I am hoping the stores will drop all their prices when they
see how cheap Optical4Less or any other retailer are selling them for.
Then we won't have to use virtual try on which is probably slightly
inaccurate. Nevertheless, it is still very innovative.

Regards,
Elgin.
