to Glassboard for iPhone
Hi Jim,

This looks like a problem that a handful of other folks have also been
experiencing. We're trying to get to the bottom of it, but
unfortunately no one on the team has yet been able to reproduce the
error.

Are your boards image or video heavy? Did you happen to be on wifi
that could be spotty, such as in a hotel? You mentioned on Twitter you
started seeing this after the most recent iOS upgrade, which would
lead me to believe that could have something to do with it, but as you
say you know of people who haven't yet upgraded and they see it too,
correct?

Thanks for any info you can provide. We're really trying to get this
issue figured out!

i have tested a little more. One of my groups is pretty long. It is that one that seems to cause the freeze. When I first start glassboard, the default view is All Boards, so it always pulls up that one. One I get glassboard to work a little, and switch to smaller/shorter groups, it works as normal. But if I exit and start again, the default of all boards bring the big one back and thus the slow down.

Is there a way to change the default start up view?
Can I re-index (??) the large board and cure it problem?
I guess I can export it and start a new one in its place, but that is a little awkward to getting all the members back in.

Thanks,

Jim

I downloaded the board in question. It is about 30mb (25 zipped). I can view it fine on web, but still locks up in iOS. Is it possible that the iOS app cannot handle files that large? Should I just delete the board and start a replacement?

Thanks for your help! A couple of things that might help going forward:

1. If you later confirm there is a size limit for boards in iOS, can you publish that info? My board was working fine until it hit ~30mb.
2. If the prefs can let me add a starting screen or board (instead of All Boards), I can at least still access the app when one of the boards goes bad or big.
3. I could not find a logout mechanism for the app. That might help too since I only did so by deleting and re-installing.

Again, I appreciate your help. Glassboard works great for me and I'm glad to support it.

Jim
