Purge deleted comments

Is there a way to purge deleted comments?

I deleted some comments on a message and it then shows: [Comment deleted by the board chair],

As initial feedback ok, but it would be nice to be able to purge them to clean up a thread.

There isn't yet a way to completely delete comments, no. This is expected behavior, although we've heard plenty of feedback about changing it.
