Hello and welcome to another Glasgow Residents Network Update.

This month we can bring you news of a number of successful campaigns
and local residents struggles as well as an invitation to our social
this weekend.

Crescent.
Come along and meet others involved in the residents movement!

Residents Struggles in the news

Local Parents Campaign Triumphs

Local residents have been active for a number of years in attempting to
force the closure of a local community centre run by gangster Eddie
Lyons. Following inter-gang shootings last week councillors finally
bowed to public pressure. The move comes just before the publication
of a damning report which local residents campaigners had forced into
the running of the centre.

Mary took on the Glasgow Housing Association lawyers... And won!
Helped only by friends and housing campaigners Mary secured a victory
which sets a legal precedent for all homeowners in the city. Factors
cannot charge homeowners for the damage done by vandals.
