It's the new year already and it's been a hell of a long while since the last time we met in Glasgow.
I would try and arrange for us to meet the day after the second Wednesday of February, 2012-02-09.
I hope we'll be able to use the old venue, s1 offices: could some of you find out if that's still viable?
Moreover, could we all prepare even a short 5-minutes presentation to give at the event?
Since this is the first meeting of the new year, I wouldn't try and impose any topic, so go wild!
After the meeting, as usual, we may retire to one of the many pubs which serve {non-,}alcoholic beverages for all.
New rules:
* any newcomers will have a pint/glass of favourite beverage on me
* any people bringing a presentation will have the same
Look forward to hearing from you all soon!
Please submit any ideas/topics for your talk on the list so people will see who will make it, and
who will bring a talk on which subject :)
Happy new year!

Sounds good! I've got a couple of ideas for talks I could give.
Miles
I'm coming, though I still need to write my talk - working title
"Machine learning in (WLOG) Perl".
Miles
Meeting is at 1830 "in front" of the Glasgow Herald and Times building.
I believe the side entrance will likely be used, so meet roughly at the
bars which stop cars from going in.
We seem to have two/three talks lined up so far, which is great!
After the meeting and talks are done, we usually retreat for a friendly
pint at a nearby pub.
Look forward to seeing you all there!
Paul
Anyone is free to come along - contact me to get my mobile number to
get into the building.
Paul
Me too.
Well, apart from my talk's working title, that is — two the same would
be a little odd. I'm going for "The contraindications of context".
