Hi everyone, this Zoom event is next Monday evening – great speaker line up! Best, Magdalen, Interfaith Glasgow
Introducing the first event in a new three-part series:
Climate Justice is...Food Justice delivered by Interfaith Glasgow in partnership with Nourish Scotland
Monday 22 August on Zoom
18.30 to 20.30
Food unites. It is both a basic human need and something that can bring meaning and joy to our lives, particularly when it is shared together. But the food that we are eating and the way it is produced is a massive driver of climate change, environmental degradation and inequality.
In this first event of a 3-part series exploring various aspects of Climate Justice – we consider this enormous piece of the puzzle. We can’t tackle climate change without tackling the food system, and, as we’ll see, food intersects with lots of other issues too.
Join us to hear from expert speakers from the UK, South Africa, and India who will explain the complex global food system and how we each connect with it - and learn about the solutions that we can all be a part of.
Future events will explore Financial Justice and Gender Justice – two more crucial dimensions of climate justice alongside many others. Watch this space for more details!
