Would you like to create your own apple, pear or plum tree from scratch? Come learn the craft of the graft this weekend!

Grafting
is an ancient art of propagating new fruit trees using buds or twigs, the ‘scion wood’ from an existing tree, and fusing it onto a branch or stem of another tree called ‘the rootstock’. Once you have got the hang of it, you can look forward to getting
new trees for a fraction of what you would pay at a nursery.
Bring a cutting of your favourite apple tree to propagate a new one - or choose from our large selection from all over the UK!
Theres also a chance to learn pruning skills in the morning session of each day - come for one half or the whole day.

Free factsheet on Orchard Wildlife!
To
help us continue championing and supporting orchards in 2019, we and our funders need to know how well we’re doing and how we could improve what we do in your area. If you or your community orchard have been involved in any of our activities, we would be very
grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete our survey.
Everyone who completes the survey will also receive a digital copy of our factsheet on Orchard Wildlife.
Thank you!

Our year in pretty pictures...
As the only national charity dedicated to the creation and restoration of community orchards we had a pretty epic year in 2017-18.
You can read all about it in our annual report. Filled with fantastic stories from all the regions we work in we're really proud of all the work that our supporters, volunteers, funders, orchard leaders, staff and orchard folk are involved in.
