Dear all,

The Dandelion Harvest Grants Programme is now open for applications.

Working in partnership with BEMIS, the grants programme has been developed to support and celebrate community groups and organisations who are growing their own food or plan to start on their growing journey. It will fund successful applicants to ‘grow new growers’ and participate in the Dandelion Harvest weekend on September 10th and 11th.

There are two funds:

• If your organisation already grows, please see the Dandelion application guidance, sample budget and sample milestones documents, and use the Dandelion online application form.

• If your organisation is starting to grow please visit the BEMIS website for application documents.

Applications deadline: 12midnight on Friday 20th May.

Objectives:

to support a diverse range of organisations and groups working with communities across Scotland to take part in the nationwide Dandelion programme through:

  • Organising their own cultural harvest events to celebrate local community growing in creative ways, on the weekend of September 10th and 11th 2022
  • Growing their own food to be shared at their harvest events
  • Engaging new participants and volunteers with local community food growing
Who can apply:

Applications are open to organisations and groups working with communities in Scotland that are formally constituted, not for profit, have a bank account in the organisation’s name and are already running community food growing projects.

How much?

Between £500 and £3,000 (the upper limit for the BEMIS fund is £2,000)
