We provide broadcast software for video and audio transport, running on off-the-shelf IT equipment. This allows IT hardware to perform multiple broadcast functions, aiding convergence between the broadcast and IT industries, and drastically reducing costs.

Since November of last year, three racecourses in Spain, the Netherlands and Austria have transmitted more than fifty races over IP completely error free, solidifying our belief that IP was the perfect solution to our problem.

Using an Open Broadcast Encoder on commodity hardware has enabled Sky News to design and implement cost effective, flexible solutions, ranging from low latency contribution video to internal IPTV channels.

You have to remember that an individual project may have multiple types of Sessions open against it. If you have a project named Demo, and you have both Vision AND Perspective pieces to that project, you can use the scope to dictate which pieces get a given message.

Keep in mind that the Session (NOT the Page or View) will hear the broadcast message, but then the Session needs to take further action. Invocations of system.util.sendMessage() which target Perspective Sessions typically are heard by a Perspective Session Message Handler, which then in turn invokes system.perspective.sendMessage() to dictate what should be done with the message.

Think of it like ordering a pizza (back in the day):
You call the pizza place and tell the person on the phone you want a pizza. That person doesn't make the pizza - they take your order and then pass it to the people in the back. Message handling works in the same manner, where the Session Message Handler answers the phone and then sends the message along to a better-defined scope.

My Logitech Media Server (LMS) needs to announce its presence to receivers by broadcasting on port 3483. I have this port opened for UDP and TCP, but the broadcasts are not getting through. How do I fix this?

Opening for a certain posrt in the firewall normaly means opening it for incoming traffic. As I understand you want outgoing traffic. In fact I think the firewall on openSUSE is not blocking outgoing traffic at all.

Broadcast runs on a different protocol than UDP or TCP I think. The clients cannot see the messages broadcast from the server telling them that my server is available. If I turn off the firewall, they can see it.

My solution was to create a simple file /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2.d/services/special-broadcast similiar to avahi and with my port. After enabling this service receiving broadcasts on my port works, I even removed the old configuration, i.e. the ports I opened before (advanced, broadcast) in firewall config.

Match action from the BNP Paribas Open is broadcast extensively within the United States courtesy of our partners at Tennis Channel. The T2 platform from Tennis Channel also broadcasts select matches and features live coverage from Indian Wells from the start of the tournament through the second week.

Open Broadcaster Software, or OBS, is a free and open source solution for offline video recording and live streaming that is Mac and Windows compliant. With an open canvas approach to video creation this tool can mix a variety of audio and video sources to a single output for creative video and broadcast applications. Recording is a snap with this multifunctional application as OBS has the ability to record straight to your hard drive using a record only mode or in conjunction with a simultaneous live stream. Speaking of live streaming, OBS allows live broadcasts to several popular streaming services including Youtube, Facebook Live, Twitch, Twitter, and Mixer with the built in ability to stream to your own custom RTMP servers.

But I keep coming back to how, for four days, I watched a broadcast that spent a ton of time telling me I was seeing one of the most important events in the sport while presenting it as if it were anything but that.

Later, after a Matt Fitzpatrick bogey on the eleventh hole gave Will Zalatoris a two-shot lead, there was a chance to follow the new leader to the next tee box, perhaps to set up some of the action on the next hole, show shots from others in contention, or even just let the moment breathe. Cameras were in position, following tight on Zalatoris as he made his way off the green. Instead, the broadcast went to a Wells Fargo ad with jarring speed.

You need to specify the bare JID of users and not just their username. So instead of setting josh you have to set something jo...@myserver.com where myserver.com needs to be replaced with your XMPP domain.

As an administator i see nothing bad that broadcasts are allowed by default. It depends on every deployment. And as this feature was enabled by default for so long time i think it should stay like this, so old users wount be confused why broadcasting stopped to work after server upgrade.

In July 2021, ESPN signed a 12-year extension of its broadcast partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) which will see the broadcaster continue to offer live Wimbledon coverage until 2035.

Craig Tiley, chief executive of Tennis Australia, added: As one of our most longstanding broadcasters, ESPN has a reputation for innovation and great storytelling, both of which form part of the Australian Open DNA.

Elsewhere in tennis, SuperSport has extended its rights deal with Tennis Australia, with the pay-TV network signing a five-year deal to air the season-opening Grand Slam across Sub-Saharan Africa for a fee that SportBusiness reports is worth around US$1.3 million a year.

Golf fans have long complained about TV broadcasts. Whether it be the commercial load, the subpar commentators or a lack of ingenuity, fans have been begging for golf broadcasts to improve for years. Well, viewers were disappointed again Saturday during the third round of the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina when NBC struggled through a variety of technical difficulties during one of the biggest events of the year.

Having recently tested Kdenlive 19.08 and then taken a brief but pleasant look at OpenShot, I decided to expand my cinematic horizons and explore someadditional software on the media market. One program that came into the hazy spotlight is Open Broadcast Software (OBS), a free and open-source videoeditor, designed primarily for video recording and live streaming.

Well, here I am, with me unfunny collection of Youtube clips, and here it is, OBS, waiting for me totest and review it. Sounds like a plan, and proceed so we shall. Once again, I'm back on Linux, inKubuntu, but that shouldn't really make much difference. Anyway, let's begin.

Your choice of the operating system will dictate how you install OBS. I didn't have any greatdifficulties with the Linux version. Once the program is installed, on first run, you will see aconfiguration wizard, which is designed to profile your system and tweak the best settings for yourwork. You can optimize the application for streaming or recording, and it will probe your hardware forthe desired resolution and framerate. If you have a reasonably modern and capable graphics card, youshould be able to hit your screen resolution x 30 FPS without problems. In fact, you don't need morethan 24 FPS for video, but some people are impressed with the soap-opera 60FPS thingie, so there'sthat.

Like many media programs, especially of late, OBS comes with a dark theme, which you can switch toSystem in the settings. Now, System here actually means Breeze, but I was using a modified version withdarker fonts, which I named Brooze, but OBS didn't pick that one up, so I had the default system theme, and this isn't really what I had in mind. But it's better than using the dark theme, for sure. Andthen, you can tweak a whole lot more in the settings window.

OBS is decidedly less intuitive than, say, either Kdenlive or OpenShot, mostly because it's notdesigned to be a linear video editor. Its primary purpose is streaming or recording content into videoclips, with some additional effects if you like. This can be confusing, as you may expect media playercontrols everywhere, but those are in short order, I'm afraid.

A typical work session will consist of you creating scenes, and then adding one or more sources toeach scene. You will have live preview for your scenes, and the playback will continue indefinitely, until you either "blank" the particular source or switch to a different scene. OBS supports a vastarray of inputs, including audio and video capture devices, local media, screen and window capture, andmore.

Once a scene is loaded and playing, you can right-click in the preview area and make a lot oftweaks. You can change the preview, duplicate scenes, alter the color palette, add filters, and more.Of course, at this point, you actually need to know what you're doing, otherwise your work will make nosense.
