Discover a photo storage system that simplifies. Adobe-Photoshop-Lightroom offers the industry standard in photo management software. And with the power of adobe-sensei artificial intelligence technology, your online photo storage does a lot to manage itself so you never have to worry about losing track of your high-quality shots.
Using the lightroom mobile app on your smartphone? Those edits are already synced to your tablet and computer. lightroom lets you manage your image library from any computer or mobile device. Access everything you want to share, whenever you want to share it.
Keep travel photos, selfies, and family portraits in perfect order by batching pictures into albums, then organizing them into folders. You can share any album right from lightroom and even invite friends or collaborators to make their own edits.
Storing images can be a tangle of labels, folders, and many, many external hard drives. Managing photos with Lightroom helps cut through the clutter. Search your whole photo library, sort or filter according to your needs, and save your edits without duplicating your images.
I wanted to switch to lightroom classic with photoshop, however I am subscribing to lightroom through the app store currently. When I cancel it takes a month before it's deactivated it seems. Is there a way around having to wait 30 days before adobe will allow me to switch the plans?
if you have a subscription with lightroom through the app store, Adobe will identify this and prevent you from subscribing to another lightroom subscription through the adobe website. because the only packages that contain lightroom classic also contain lightroom, it prevents you from subscribing.
im sure a phone call to adobe would sort it but the fact it resorts to this level of effort and the fact this has clearly been an issue for a couple years is whats frustrating for users. it should not be this hard to access an online product or manage a subscription
Adobe also blur the packages so its difficult at face value to truly understand if you are getting lightroom or lightroom Classic, they should be branded under different names as it seems to be a common issue just by what you see in google searches. or allow lightroom classic to be purchased without lightroom.
As for source. Some state the computer version of Lr is found in the Apple Store. It may or may not. I think not, those are apps for Mobile. Even if it is, the full blown Lightoom Classic is not. When you enter the Apple Store from a MACOS device (not so much from an iOS device, my bad) yes Lightroom (Cloudy) is available, but Lightroom Classic is not. Note, if searching the Apple Stire via an iPad, lots of Lr (for Mobil)
When you select an Adobe Plan, be aware that while a separate plan for just Lightroom (Lr) is offered, no separate plan for Lightroom Classic (LrC) is offered. Lightroom Classic is available in other bundled Plans, the most prevalent being the Photography Plan. The Phottoggraphy Plan includes PS, Lr, LrC, Bridge. You may never ever use Bridge, you might not want to use Lr again, but you will eventually wantbto be able to use PS IMO.
Just want you to know tbird that its May 2023 and Adobe STILL contine to make it insanely difficult to complete such a simple task that is upgrading or buying a different product. i too thought i was using lightroom classic through the app store but suprise suprise, i guess not (great job marketing!). so yeah, still extremely difficult to tell the difference between products at a glance or before paying, still extremely difficult to upgrade to the product you want/need if you subscribed through the app store first.
The way I view the Adobe Photography Plan is, Photoshop is the main application of the bundle and this comes with Bridge and Adobe Camera Raw. Lightroom Classic is included as an alternative to Bridge / Adobe Camera Raw and the ability to share your images with Lightroom (Desktop), Lr mobile for iPhones / Smartphones, and iPads / Tablets. This allows users of phones and tablets to capture images to store, manage and share their images online. At $9.99 per month for the bundle is a steal in my opinion.
Each month, we listen to tens of thousands of Lightroom users via the Adobe Community Forums, in-app feedback, and other channels. Your input is invaluable in helping us address your photo editing needs and make Lightroom the best it can be.

Does Lightroom store photos in the cloud? Yes, it does! You can save space on all your devices by saving your files to your cloud account. This makes sharing easier, as you will not need to email photos manually. Instead, you can keep your photos stored in the cloud with your clients, friends, or family. Alternatively, you can load them into your Dropbox drive for even easier sharing.
Lightroom is all about flexibility, customization, and personal preferences, which is perfect for you in your wedding photography workflow. The only tricky part is getting your wedding photos to your desired storage location. This will differ for every photographer and is based on what works best for your workflow.
Being a wedding photographer, saving your photos in multiple places is always advised. That way, if something happens to your images on one device or software, you still have the photos backed up elsewhere.
To keep your photos organized proficiently, Lightroom creates a catalog of your files. If you have added your files to Lightroom (as opposed to copying or moving them), those photos are now in your catalog.
As a wedding photographer, it is essential to know how to change the Lightroom catalog location. In Lightroom, you can navigate to File > Catalog Settings > General, and there you will find the option to change the default location for your catalog.
Lightroom offers similar but slightly different steps for desktop programs like Lightroom Classic and the Mobile Version. To make the changes, open your Application Manager and look out for Preferences options. Select it and scroll down to find the Catalog tab. Here, you can alter your catalog locations or even start creating multiple save spots to cover various projects.
As a wedding photographer, you understand how important it is to store your photos accurately, including edits made with Lightroom. To make sure that all of your work stays organized, you'll want to know not only where does lightroom mobile store photos but also how to change where lightroom store photos.
