This is an update on the severe weather and heavy rainfall potential for this weekend. Overall, following the
Friday night model runs-
we are still expecting a low-end severe weather risk with the possibility for two to three inches of rainfall...mainly on Sunday into
For northwest portion of the ArkLaMiss (mainly northwest of a Winnsboro, LA to Grenada, MS line)
- Could have a round of strong storms(wind 40-50mph and small hail) along with heavy rain by tonight
- Another round of strong to severe storms is possible on Sunday
- Primary severe weather risks Sunday include damaging wind gusts, large hail, and perhaps a tornado.
For the remainder of the ArkLaMiss
- There will be a risk for severe weather Sunday into Sunday night...greatest risk along and southeast of the Natchez Trace.
- Primary severe weather risks include damaging wind gusts, large hail, and perhaps a few tornadoes
