Hi,
New information just in from Gwynedd Council Planning Department, and
Health and Safety Department.
Health and Safety Officer Sionned Johnson visited the new caravan site
after complaints from owners, she informed me that a new fence has
been erected around the caravan site and this meets with the approval
of the Health & Safety Officer. ( funny how this site has been wide
open for over 12 months and a few days before the H&S visit a fence is
erected )
It now transpires that Glan Gwna Estates have not got planning
permission for the new caravan site, it has also came to light that
they DID NOT get planning permission for the caravans sited about 2yrs
ago. I think they are numbered 1 to 12.
Mr Eioned Williams from the planning Dept has informed me that GGE
have been informed of this slight oversight on there behalf.
Mr. Williams told me that the Council have no authority to stop the
works from carrying on. But once the works is completed and GGE try
to site caravans the Council can then act.
GGE can apply for retrospect planning permission, and once the Council
have this application, members of the public and owners will be
allowed to voice any concerns that they have and this means that
there is no guarantee that planning permission will be granted,
Mr, Williams said that we should check with the Forestry Commision if
permission was need to cut down the trees and also if GGE have a
licience for cutting them down.
So once again GGE just go ahead with whatever they want and even try
to ignore the authorities.
Regards
Andy
