Just wanted to remind everyone of the upcoming Village Building
Convergence activities in your neighborhood!
Gladstone Street Revival signed up for the VBC to increase the sense
of community in the area. During the 10-day event, we’ll be creating
stone and glass mosaics (“gladstones”) in the planter strips along SE
Gladstone from 39th to 42nd and we will be clearing a portion of
invasive ivy and replanting with natives and perennials. Come help us
create a more connected community and make the neighborhood a more
beautiful place!
Here's a brief schedule:

-Saturday May 29 Mushroom workshop, free yoga, planter strip
mosaics, PureHeart Yoga Open House
-Sunday May 30 Planter strip mosaics
-Monday May 31 Planter strip mosaics
-Friday June 4 Pulling ivy
-Saturday June 5 Pulling ivy with Commissioner Fritz
-Sunday June 6 CELEBRATION POTLUCK @ Chloe and Caleb's 4019

In addition to the free workshops at the VBC sites around town
(including ours on growing edible mushrooms and others on the basics
of cob building, how to build a worm bin, green roofs, rain gardens,
etc), City Repair will host workshops, speakers, and music each night
of the 10-day event! Check out their website for more details:

Big thanks to everyone who donated stuff, bought stuff, and helped out
at the Yard Sale / Block Party last Saturday!!! Despite the crazy
weather, we raised $253.11 to buy materials for these projects.
Thanks to Gladstone Coffee & Pizza for donating 10% of pizza sales
that day; Bullseye Glass for donating glass for the mosaics; and to
Hopworks Urban Brewery for donating a keg of beer for the upcoming
Potluck this Friday!
