Thank you Gladstone Street!
What a wonderful event; and it's been so lovely getting to know all of you. Thank you to everyone who participated (it's all about participation!) and we hope to continue to hang out and make Gladstone Street a great place to live.
Several mosaics remain in my front yard (4002); please encourage your friends/neighbors in the area to "plant" these gladstones in their planter strips! So far, two neighbors have stopped by to take them down to 37th/Gladstone and Cora/Gladstone... the farther up/down/around Gladstone, the better.
Also, please support the businesses that support us! Pure Heart Yoga donated their space throughout our planning process, inspired us with their first heart mosaic up on 42nd Ave, offered free yoga on our first workday; and raised $55 via a raffle fundraiser. Gladstone Coffee & Pizza donated 10% of pizza sales and rounded way up to provide $50 toward supplies. Hopworks Urban Brewery donated a half barrel keg for the kick-off potluck and first weekend. Bullseye Glass doanted all the glass for our mosaics; adding lots of wonderful color to our Street.
Thank you also to Jack, at the Presbyterian Church, who donated the tables for our yard sale and for Pure Heart's open house; and to Katheryn, who via AmeriCorps, donated the gloves and loppers for the ivy pull. And again, to each of you, who donated tools, materials and driveways (thank you Dave!); who cooked meals and shared your homes/gardens/BBQ; to everyone who participated, it wouldn't have been the same without each of your unique contributions.
Many, many thanks,
Morgan & Ana
