If you haven’t heard, the Village Building Convergence starts this weekend!  VBC is an annual ten-day event in Portland that brings communities together through placemaking.  Get involved with projects in your area on the Sites page: http://vbc.cityrepair.org/sites. 

 

My neighborhood is participating as Gladstone Street Revival.  We'll be digging up and replanting our planter strips, installing mosaic stepping stones ("gladstones"), and pulling ivy this and next weekend, and would love if you'd join us!

 

We’re also hosting a free workshop Saturday, May 29: Growing Your Own Mushrooms, 2pm @ 4011 SE Gladstone.

 

In addition to all the workshops/work parties/food/merriment at each site, City Repair will host workshops, speakers, and music each night of the 10-day event (May 28 – June 6).
