Good morning, Illinois!

The GLACUHO Board of Directors met via conference call on Thursday, March 24th for the March meeting. It is truly exciting to hear of the work the association is doing across our region. If you have not yet done so, head over to the forum section of the GLACUHO website to read a proposal regarding a professional development opportunity for Senior Housing Officers at our Annual Conference. The board will be making a decision about this proposal during our next meeting.

Also, there are tons of opportunities for involvement going on RIGHT NOW in GLACUHO, which are outlined in this week's state update. One of which is the Call for Programs. Please consider what knowledge/skills you might be able to share with other professionals during our annual conference. If you have a great idea but would like a co-presenter, shoot me an email, and I will help connect you with someone else in the state or region.

All the best,

Aaron Copley-Spivey

Minutes to Fitness

The GLACUHO Health and Wellness Committee would like to announce the beginning of the 2016 Minutes to Fitness. This initiative is intended to encourage and recognize GLACUHO members for minutes dedicated to fitness by having participants log daily the minutes they dedicated to fitness. This could include a building walk, cleaning your apartment, a run, weight lifting, or even yoga! The purpose of this initiative is to get members moving and grooving!

Once you register, you'll receive a link to the log page via email. Be sure to bookmark this link because we hope you'll use it often!

The 10 participants with the most minutes at the end of each month will be recognized via social media, and the 10 members with the most minutes by the annual conference will be recognized at the conference and will receive a health and wellness swag pack!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the
Health and Wellness Chair.
