Good afternoon, Illinois! Below you will find updates from some of the mighty-fine committee work going on around the region. Our Contemporary Issues Committee has a suggested reading for us. Our Professional Foundations committee has announced the book they will be reading for the 2016 GLACUHO Book Club. And, in case that wasn't enough reading, our Health and Wellness Committee has announced a blog series. All of the information can be found below! If you need a break from all of the reading, start writing! Conference program proposals are being accepted through the beginning of June. More urgently though, you should complete your application for the Mid-Level Institute. Applications are due by April 15th. Again, all this information (and more) can be found below!
All the best, Aaron Copley-Spivey |

The 2016 GLACUHO Summer Book Club! The Professional Foundations Committee is sponsoring the 2016 GLACUHO Book Club. This year's selection is "Start With Why" by Simon Sinek. A limited number of free copies of the book are available, but all are invited to participate with your own copy of the book. Here's a synopsis from Sinek's website: "It doesn't matter what you do, it matters Why you do it." With a little discipline, anyone can learn to inspire. Start With Why offers an unconventional perspective that explains the reasons some leaders and organizations are more innovative, more profitable, command greater loyalties from customers and employees alike and, most importantly, are able to repeat their success over and over. More information will be available soon so stay tuned! |
