Dear friends of Glacial Lakes Conservancy,
It's time to register for the GRASSHOPPER HILL PRESERVE 2012 WORK
PROJECT DAY.
Join Glacial Lakes Conservancy and other interested volunteers as we
mark preserve boundaries, clean-up the site, cut & treat invasive bush
honeysuckle and glossy buckthorn at GLC’s Grasshopper Hill Preserve in
the Town of Rhine. Participants are limited to adults 18 years or
older. Registration in advance will help us plan ahead and be
prepared.
SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 1 PM – 4 PM
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED by June 4th.
To Register, please call me (Vickie) at 273-1143 or email me at
in...@glaciallakes.org.
I will need to coordinate driving you to the site and finding out
which task group you'd like to work on -- boundaries, clean-up or
invasive species work -- and providing more information.
Volunteers will be working in the woods and around power equipment,
tools and herbicides. Moderate to steep hiking.
I hope you will join us on one of our upcoming events -- next up, the
Bella Terra Lunch and Land Walk Celebration, July 28th.
Happy Spring!
