Glacial Lakes Conservancy
We have updated our website to include a GRASSHOPPER HILL PHOTO
GALLERY. If you are interested in a slideshow of our recent
conservation work - The Grasshopper Hill Preserve - we invite you to
drop in to our website at glaciallakes.org. Our friends at Gathering
Waters Conservancy, the state's land trust service center, helped us
develop the slide show and are featuring GLC on their Land Trust
Stories webpage.
Also, the GLC ANNUAL EVENT on December 4, 2011 was a wonderful success
once again! A delicious dinner at Margaux Bistro was served up and
guests learned about the fascinating history and ecology of the
Horicon National Wildlife Refuge from our Very Special Guest Speaker
ornithologist and naturalist, BILL VOLKERT.
GLC is the local land trust for five counties, including Fond du Lac,
where the northern portion of the Horicon Marsh is located. Private
landowners with significant land to preserve near the Marsh are
encouraged to contact Glacial Lakes Conservancy about their available
conservation options.
