Hello friends of Glacial Lakes Conservancy,
Eagles, sandhill cranes and trumpeter swans are still arriving while
others are nesting. Ever increasing numbers of songs birds - including
bluebirds and robins -- continue to migrate back into Wisconsin as the
days grower longer.
And a sure sign that spring is on its way .... GLC's 5th ANNUAL WINE &
CHEESE TASTING/DESSERT AUCTION EVENT in Kewaunee!
The afternoon will feature a self-guided tour of the renovated
Kewaunee Inn, built in 1912 in the Arts & Crafts style.
Participants will sample wonderful pairings of wines and cheeses, and
finish with a fun auction of home-made desserts and other surprises.
This popular yearly event is held to raise friends and funds for GLC
and its work in voluntary land conservation.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is $30 per
person. Pre-registration deadline is March 21st due to limited
seating.
Visit our Events Page at

ANNOUNCING the new GLC FACEBOOK PAGE! Yes, we took the plunge and
started our first Facebook Page this week.
Please visit us at
www.facebook.com/GlacialLakes Conservancy.
Our goal for the page is to connect our work on the land --
Stewardship -- and our fun events -- Celebration Land Walks -- and
important updates to our friends and a wider audience in the
community.
It's early days yet as we learn the newest Facebook Timeline format.
If we get 20 more friends, a new feature will open up, so I hope you
will help!!!
Hope that you have an enjoyable weekend!
