A Note from NACURH 2017:
Hey Everyone! Its Sidney, your NACURH Programming Chair. I hope you all are excited for NACURH 2017 because I know I am! There are a lot of cool things happen this year for programming.
This year we will have 7 different programming tracks with each track having its own set of unique learning outcomes. Another exciting aspect to programming is we will be debuting the badge program! Completing these badges helps delegates learn more about a specific topic area, such as Mental Health, National Residence Hall Honorary, and more! We can’t do all of this without your help. We need you all to present programs at NACURH and share your knowledge and passions.
For more information on how to submit a program and to learn more about the programming tracks and badges, please visit our website at https://www.conference.nacurh.org/programming or contact me at conf_pro...@nacurh.org!

Thanks so much for your help!!

Sidney
Hey NACURH!
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The It’s On Us Task Force has created initiatives for every week in April and we encourage participation from every student leader in NACURH. The It’s On Us campaign is a movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think about sexual assault, by identifying what sexual assault is and situations in which it is beneficial to step in and prevent sexual assault from happening. Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an opportunity to create safe communities and stand up for those who don’t feel safe.
The initiatives below highlight sexual assault as a public health, human rights and social justice issue. We encourage NACURH member schools to implement the programs below and use the hashtag #ItsOnNACURH to help prevent sexual assault.
  • Week 1 | April 2-8: Hands Project - The Hands and Words Are Not for Hurting Project is a national campaign that asks participants to pledge to use their hands for helping and not hurting. Ask students to stamp their handprints on a banner or paper as a symbol of their pledge then post it on social media using the hashtag #ItsOnNACURH.
If you are a victim or know someone that has been a victim of sexual assault please contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-HOPE.
If you have any questions or concerns contact Kyesha Isadore at sw_di...@nacurh.org.
Links love,
The NACURH It’s On Us Task Force
It's that time of year where you should begin working on your NACURH level bids!

Please keep in mind that not all categories require you to win on the regional level and this is a really great opportunity to give praise to an organization/individual/ your institution.

Along the journey of NACURH bidding please reach out to myself or our CO for Bidding and Awards Jessi Conklin, especially if you have questions! Click the image to be taken straight to the NACURH Award Bidding Page.
