their work, but just to disseminate information. So some will post on
"Knol" or "Wikipedia." Wikepedia stays away from advertisements, while
Knol offers that option.

Would a successful knol, be rated by the number of hits they receive?
The knol is automatically rated by the number of hits it receives ?
Could this be the filter for assessing the success of the author's
work? So success with AdSense brings financial rewards that would be
a good incentive to writers. We have to watch this trend. In Knol the
emphasis is on the author. He is the one in control, and is credited
for his work. This could draw the best in the profession to contribute
to Knols. An interesting concept.
