Hello all,

After many years I've decided to move the GK24.org website to Google Groups.
It means new members can join without manual approval and we can continue to build up a good body of knowledge about our favourite boat!

Please re-post your boat profiles in the 'Boats' topic below. The profiles on the website are really out of date, so this gives us an opportunity for a bit of a refresh.

I'll be closing down the GK24.org website at the beginning of December 2011 so if there's any content on the website you think we should move to these Groups, please re-post it. I've already made a start at this with the History and Technical topics below.

Best wishes,

StephenHB

General topic.

I purchased my GK24( HOCUS POCUS), previously sailed on the Firth of
Forth in Jan this year and it is now in Royal Quays on the River
Tyne.
We are planning some extended coastal sail next year and I need to
ensure the Volvo Penta sail drive is in good condition, so I am
planning to overhaul it over the next few months.
The boat itself is in excellent condition for its age as the previous
owner maintained it overall and greatly improved the interior.
Unfortunately I neglected to find out whether he had replaced the
gasket, engine / sail drive.
Has anyone the experience of carrying out this project and can help
with advice.
regards.
