Greating from Hope Disabulitey centear
ach Hope Disability Centre continues to advance its mission of improving the lives of the disabled here in the Himalayas. Through our surgery, hearing aid, physiotherapy, and many other programmes, many hundreds of disabled children, adults and families have better lives. Thousands more now have hope that their turn will come too one day.
In particular the surgery programme has enjoyed great success in the past year. With the help of generous donors and surgeons donating their time and expertise, we were able to help 45 disabled children to live normal lives last year, through surgeries on limbs deformed by polio, rickets, burns, or birth defects. Your gift comes at a crucial moment, as we have identified children in remote Himalayan villages who need surgery soon before it becomes too late for their bones to be re-shaped.
The goal of the Hope Disability Centre is to continue to make a difference in the lives of the poor disabled of Kashmir, India. With the help of donations from supporters such as you we will continue to see improvements in their independence, mobility, and ability to earn a living. You can watch our progress at our web site, www.hopecentre.webs.com, or come visit us in person. Kashmir is beautiful at this time of year.
