Think I must have fallen asleep and awakened in an alternate universe.

Something very strange is happening at the Department of Transportation or DOT as it has come to be known.  I just came across this video produced by NYDOT showing the making of a new public space in Queens, NY.

Now probably most if not all of you never heard of Carona Queens.  I have, matter of fact I lived there in a former life.  I was into sailing and living on a small sailboat at the Worlds Fair Marina.  Well in NY you can't live on a sailboat in the winter.  Matter of fact you can't even let your boat stay in the water for fear of a cracked hull from the ice.  So I needed a place to stay for a few winters and found this tiny apartment above an Italian deli (YUM!) in, you guessed it, Carona Queens.

Even here in Clearwater we are creating a new public space on Cleveland Street, only on Saturdays though.  Cleveland Street from Missouri east to Lincoln will be closed to traffic for the new Clearwater Gateway Farmers Market beginning Saturday, January 12, 2013.

You will be hearing a lot more about this exciting new farmers market since I have been hired as the manager. But more on that in the near future.
