Clearwater's New Public Space

[Clearwater Parks Enhancement]

The Clearwater Gateway Farmers Market is opening 3 weeks from today.  As manager of this new and exciting market, I find myself with a lot less time to devote to this group of Clearwater Park Enhancement enthusiasts.  The market will be open every Saturday until May 25, 2013.

Please remember that public spaces are at the essence of the differences between bad, good, and great cities.  If you want Clearwater to be a great city demand great public spaces from our leaders.  Understand what makes a public space great and hinders a public space from being great.  The evidence of a great public space is simple - there is a lot of the public using it in a positive way when it is open to the public.  If it is empty there is something that has to be fixed.

The Clearwater Gateway Farmers Market is a public space on public property (1200 Block of Cleveland Street) with a farmers market as one of the activities.  There will be other activities going on as well. The grand opening is Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 9 am.  The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11 am and it will be lots of fun!  You are all invited to attend.
