Afterbeing away for more than 6 months, I am re-adding 2 Nest WiFi Points (Model H2E) to an existing network. (They worked fine before I disconnected them.) When I go to "add a new device", I am asked for an 8 digit code (NOT a QR code).

NB. I unplugged and plugged the Nest Wifi Router back in. I created a new "home" network. I dumped the Google Home app and started over. Still no way to bypass page when I'm asked for an 8 digit code. : /

I do find it incredible that the design (and method of engraving essential information) impedes the DIY process. Why make critical device #s hard to find or hard to read? I've seen a lot of frustration here about NOT being able to find this information, either in this forum or in the "Help" documents. I like to think Google is known for good design.

No unique or distinct 8 digit # is to be found. Nor is there an option to add QR code (which I actually have). I've also done a search in this forum for better answers; can't find them either. I find this all very surprising bec. Google products are usually so intuitive and easy to manage. : /

@Team83, thanks for reaching out and I'm glad to hear that you were able to find the 8 digit code on the device. We appreciate users who are keen on sharing with us their thoughts. We'll take this as feedback. We're always here if there's anything else you need.

Hi, all.

As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this one as resolved within the next 24 hours. If anyone still needs anything, please feel free to let me know and I can keep things open. Thanks to all who helped and contributed!

Thanks,

- Jeff

I found it in Quick Settings/ Settings ( upper left ) / About ( very bottom ) / Pairing Code. ( very bottom )

Ya gotta scroll to the very, very bottom of the About list. I don't know why this is so hard. I just spent an hour trying to pair one device. wtf

Hello there, @DRMtyer! We wanted to reach back out and see if you are still having issues getting your 5-digit code. Please reach back out to us via private message if you are still needing assistance. We hope to hear from you soon!

Hi all

My device is My Cloud 3TB

Number of Drive Bays: Single Drive

Ive looked every where. Its meant to be on the bottom of the mycloud device next to a locked padlock icon but none of those numbers work.the picture is my bottom information .

There is NOTHING to address as the single bay My Cloud units DO NOT have a 9 digit device code. If you bought a My Cloud Home device, which is a completely different product, then you should have a 9 digit code to setup the My Cloud Home device.

You do realize that you have chosen to complain (without providing any details on your issues) in a year old thread that deals with something that is not related to the single bay/single drive My Cloud, right? The single bay/single drive My Cloud (the general subject of this My Cloud subforum) does not use a 9 digit device code.

My Cloud Home and My Cloud Home Duo require a 9 digit activation code.

For the 9 digit activation code location, please refer to Answer ID 20408 Where Do I Find A 9 Digit Activation Code?

The My Cloud Home line of devices are a completely different device with different features/options, and a different operating system than the My Cloud line of devices. There are separate subforums for the My Cloud Home devices.

Note the 12 digit remote access activation code for mobile access for the My Cloud mobile access is different than the 9 digit code My Cloud Home users need to access their device. The My Cloud Home is a completely different device than the My cloud line of devices.

Further, with WD terminating OS3 support this past April, the OS3 My Cloud mobile app for the OS3 My Cloud device no longer functions for remote access or local network access. If one has updated to the latest OS3 firmware one will loose the remote access section entirely so they cannot obtain the 12 digit code the OS3 firmware used to used for remote access prior to April 2022.

For users who have OS5 supported devices they should update to the latest OS5 firmware and download and install the OS5 mobile app for iOS or Android. OS5 users can uninstall the OS3 mobile app from their devices if their My Cloud device is running OS5.

The instructions to turn off the passcode isn't working. I went to settings and there isn't an option for passcode. I went to security and it ask for a passcode. I don't have a passcode and don't know how to turn it off.

Due to the public nature of The Seller Community we are unable to access specific account details through The Community. For assistance with your passcode issue, Feel free to send send a message using this contact form. Our support team will be happy to assist in resolving the matter on your account.

The passcode I know I originally sent wasn't working. Couldn't get into the security setting to turn it off, because it's asking for a passcode to get into the security setting. I clicked on the above link and was able to go into where you generate a new passcode or put yours in. I put my passcode in and it says, "Pass code already in use."

Sorry to hear about the trouble here, @KimberlyWolfe. It might be worth checking if the passcode was assigned to another team member, or perhaps a second profile for yourself, in your dashboard here. Simply click on your, or your team members name to see if the passcode is assigned already. Please let us know how you go!

I am trying to figure out how to use my Square card reader but when I put the card reader in my phone, a screen comes up asking me to log in using a 4 digit code number. I don't recall getting a 4 digit code number when I first got my reader. Can someone please help me? I'm going to need this reader soon and I can't figure out how to use it. The instructions are so confusing.

I'm attempting to string match 5-digit coupon codes spread throughout a HTML web page. For example, 53232, 21032, 40021 etc... I can handle the simpler case of any string of 5 digits with [0-9]5, though this also matches 6, 7, 8... n digit numbers. Can someone please suggest how I would modify this regular expression to match only 5 digit numbers?

Note: There is problem in using \D since \D matches any character that is not a digit , instead use \b.\b is important here because it matches the word boundary but only at end or beginning of a word .

Can i get a new blue tooth code from any were as I have lost mine. I tried to reset my tracker only to find I need the blue tooth 4 digit code to do so. And i am now unable to sync Tracker to my phone (HELP)

Hey my friend @LordHorn, hope you're doing great! I'm a bit confused let me say... are you trying to find the 4 digit code when pairing your tracker? If so, the digits are located on your tracker. What means that when setting it up you'll ask for this numbers at what you need to take a look at the Charge 2 screen as they'll be prompted there.

If you keep having issues with the setup, I'd recommend doing what I posted here. If the inconvenience is not setup but syncing, syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Let's verifying this:

Thank you sooo much !! I went thru 6 hours searching and trying different things to get this to work. Your answer was the one that worked. I don't know if it was the turning off 3 times that did it or what but I got my 4 digit code and everything is setting up. Many many thanks!

I have tired everything and when I try to sync it, my phone is asking for the code but the Fitbit charge 3 isn't showing me a code to enter. It did at first, but it wouldn't sync after and now I'm not getting anything.

Hello @akellerr and welcome to the Community. Can you please clarify a few things? Where is this code request happening in the + Set Up a Device sequence? When you set up a new device, you select + Set Up a Device, then select Versa 3. The Bluetooth pairing code appears on the Versa 3, you enter it in the Fitbit app and continue the rest of the set up. If your Versa 3 is asking for a code, then it sounds like the previous owner had a device lock with a PIN code and didn't clear the user data before selling it.

Hello,

I haven't login my dropbox account (not this account asking the question, but the other account) for a long time, and when I try to login it requires the 6-digits code sent to my email address, however, my email address has expired, because I left my previous institute. So my situation can be summarized in the following:

1. email address linked to the account is not accessible, by no chance it can be recovered.
