Isthere a way to either 1. select a whole album for upload or 2. easily select all photos in an album for upload? From what I have tried, it appears I can only select one photo at a time. I have 2,400 favorite photos I want to upload to Dropbox and selecting them one at a time is not a task I am up for.
And importing to my Mac first doesn't seem to be an option either... Image Capture doesn't show albums. iPhoto wants to import all photos first (and can't because there's not enough space on my computer). iTunes doesn't show albums because iCloud is on. I could download from iCloud but then the photos lose all the date/time metadata that I need.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, when I click on the big + button, then uploads, the next option is to choose an album and my only choices are: all photos, instagram, dropbox, and snapchat. Not sure why it doesn't show all my albums. The only option I am seeing is to hunt for my 2,000 favorites hidden amongst the 30,000 photos in the "all photos" album... seems like there should be a much more efficient option
Hey @deeJ715, welcome to the Dropbox Community!
You should be able to manually upload the desired content, if you follow these steps.
Can you give this a go, and let me know if you have any questions?

I want to transfer one album of approx 400 photos to my Mac's desktop.
Can't figure out any way of doing this.
Can't drag and drop. Can't copy and paste.
The only options I'm given are to delete them, share them, or move them to another album.
I am about to try this solution but I would not have used dropbox for my photos if I h ad known there wan't an easy way to USE the photos. I make books of family photos by printing through a 3rd party and this makes the process even more laborious. If anyone has a real solution, please post.
i'm having teh same problem too. i have 5000+ pictures which i am dl'ing from the cloud into dropbox files, but i need them then to dl onto my hard drive. can't seem to do this...anyone have any ideas?
Then once I have selected all 10 pictures I went to the top right hand corner of screen to the '3 little circles tab' , click on this and choose 'Add to Album' and you have an option to 'Create a New Album'
Once you have created a photo Album you will see it's link at the Left side column. Click on the Album and at the top right hand side of the picture gallery go to 'Share Album' (in blue) and click on this and you will get a pop up. On the pop up go to the bottom right side to the tab 'Get Link'
Once you click this, that whole album will start downloading to your Mac/PC as a whole folder of your photo album which you can now move to a folder in your Mac/PC or Folder in your Dropbox in your Mac/PC.
Thank you Lamis K. That has worked for me to the point where I had the zip filed photos in my downloads folder, but I still saw no way to drag them in to my photos application. So I opened my Photos app, (I use a Mac) went to File, selected Import from the drag-down menu, selected Dropbox from the drop-down, and selected the file I wished to import from that list. Presto! it appeared in Photos as "last Import" and could be managed within that app accordingly.
Because unfortunately Richard such a feature does not exist. You cannot download albums without work around like Jennifer says. And to put them into another application is something you have to manually do
My Hidden Photo Album is not visible on sidebar under ALBUMS and have tried hiding other photos just trying to find location of my Hidden Photo Album. Options are grayed out for Unhide or revert to original location and I dont want to remove any of the photos or albums contained in my Hidden Album...Have been at it awhile now and getting frustrated because cannot access these photos!
On iOS 12 you will see the Hidden Photos album at the bottom of the Album list, in the "Others" section. Scroll down all the way to he end of the Album list to reveal it. It will only be visible, if it contains items.
Can't help you with the iPhone situation. I don't use Hidden on the iPhone. I use a 3rd party app that require a password to view selected photos. It's called InVault. There are a number of such apps which truly keeps photos from other eyes.
Hi so I managed to create an album in google photos, selected the album through google home to play on my hub. Got it working last night, all good. Tried adding another album this morning and now no albums are showing up in the google home photo frame settings.
I find that it is easier to set up Photo Frame in the Nest Hub. Say "OK Google, change Photo Frame". You can then go to a screen which shows all your albums. You can tap to select which ones you want to be used for Photo Frame.
@Momshopper10, sorry to hear about this. As you mentioned, you have checked the settings and nothing seems to work. May we know if all the display are using the same account? If yes, could you please try this? Let's adjust the photo frame settings and make sure that all the display have the same settings.
I automated converting folders to albums with a MKCOL request to create a new album, followed by COPY requests to add each photo or video to the new album. I used Python. The developer manual has good examples in Javascript and shell (using curl).
Particularly if people are starting with Nextcloud, they are likely to want to import a lot of media that will probably be stored in different folders and sub-folders. After using Nextcloud to sync a folder of e.g. images, they would then need to be laboriously added one-by-one into an album.
