Creating and Loading repo fails

Running version 0.3 the following fails:

var cmd = new InitCommand { GitDirectory = "c:\\Git\\foo.git", Quiet =
false, Bare = false };
cmd.Execute();

var repo = new Repository("c:\\Git\\foo.git");


With the error "System.IO.IOException : Unknown repository format "";
expected "0"."


Am I doing something stupid?
