Call for Papers
The University Jaume I (Castellón, Spain), presents the 10th International Conference on Translation, an international conference on translation and interpreting. Our aim this year is to provide a forum for discussion in those fields of translation and interpreting where Brian Harris has offered their own insights to the benefit of our scientific, training and professional communities. The conference will take place on 12th and 13th November 2009, in Castellón de la Plana, Spain.
The following plenary speakers have already confirmed their participation: Brian Harris, Claudia Angelelli, Ann Corsellis, Mariela Fernández, Anne Martin, Ricardo Muñoz, Franz Pöchhacker, and Miriam Shlesinger.
The organizers invite young researchers and research teams to submit proposals for poster presentations on a wide range of topics related to the work of Brian Harris in general –public service interpreting, natural translation, interpreting training, interpreting history, machine translation. Accepted proposals will be published in the Conference proceedings as 1000-word reviews.
Poster proposals (300-word abstracts) should be submitted by 1st July, 2009. The organizers will mail or email a notification of acceptance of proposals by the end of September 2009. All accepted proposals will be delivered as either oral presentations or posters in the Conference. Authors whose proposals are considered specially relevant will be asked to present their research as short papers.
