Hi

Let me start by saying that I’m used to Github. I wanted to test out the
hosted service at Gitorious.org. But I immediately hit a road block: it
does not seem to work well for small projects/one-man shows.

As a individual user working on many small but disconnected projects that
consists of single repositories, this “project” layer is totally wasted
and actually slow me down. I also feel that I have to copy and paste the
description from the project onto the repository. Creating an unnecessary
gateway page. This is not ideal.

Github style:
• user/repo

Gitorious style:
• project/repo
• ~user/project/repo (when cloning someone else’s repo)

Is there a way to setup a Github-style repository directly under my user
without the need to formalizing a project? Something clean and simple
like: ~user/repo

Or am I missing some organizational something that is obvious to everyone
else?
