Hi,

I'm trying to run Gitools 2.1.1 locally on my Mac.  If i try to run it I get the following error:

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-462, mixed mode)

When I tried to run Gitools via Java Web Start I got an error message saying something like:
Java applications are blocked by your security settings.  something about Self-signed application (Certificate not from trusted authority)

I got around the Web Start issue by adding http://webstart.gitools.org/ to my exceptions site list under Java Security settings.  I only mention this in case it may have something to do with the running locally problem.

Thanks,
Nicole

Hi Nicole

It seems to us that the error message that is thrown when Java 6 or earlear are installed. Please upgrade to Java 7 if it's the case.

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your reply.  I had installed Java 7, but apparently only the JRE and not the JDK, so the version that was being used in Terminal was still 6.  I downloaded JDK 7 and that fixed my problem.

Thanks!
Nicole

Oh ok! That's tricky. Thank you very much for reporting that!
