I'm about to release an initial alpha version, but wanted to check if
anyone has run into any serious issues. There is one issue I'm aware
of that can sometimes render the application unusable. This has to do
with gravatars. I haven't quiet decided what I'm going to do here.
Hopefully I'll be able to pull them asynchronously so the application
won't stall on launch.

Anyone else ran into the gravatar problem? Has GitNub "fall down go
boom" for you?

Well, with the 0.5-alpha preview, when I start it up, it tells me:

2008-03-09 01:22:21.544 nub[12711:203] *** NSTask: Task create for
path '/Applications/GitNub.app/Contents/MacOS/GitNub' failed: 86, "Bad
CPU type in executable". Terminating temporary process.

Apparently, the compile only works for Intel (well, that's what I'd
presume, since I'm on PPC).

Just thought you'd like to know so you can make a note.

Your ever-troublesome potential user,

Matt Todd

worked for me on intel MacBook - one thing though, in the pagination
navigation (bottom left), I was a bit confused by the 'latest' button.
I expected it to take me to the latest commit, not the latest page.
(not a big deal though).

I tested gitnub while being disconnected and everything worked fine
(apart from the gravatar pics obviously)

One feature I really miss: updates (or auto update). Unless I missed
something, there is no way to actually reload the commits without
closing and reopening nub.

Matt Todd:  Ah, yeah, it was compiled for Intel only.  I need to fix that, thanks for the note.

Matt Aimonetti:  I have plans for auto updates.  Hope to have that in soon.

Thanks guys :-)

The "Latest" button now does what you would expect, selects the latest
commit.

0.6.0-alpha: it seems that it needs to be started from repo root only
(no subdirs), unlike most of git tools
though not really a "serious" issue
