two questions - ports and editing

I've just installed gitit and it seems to be working.
I have two questions:
Is it possible to configure which IP address gitit will bind to? I want
a private gitit on localhost, not available remotely.
When I edit a page a) the description of the changes seems to be
required and b) if I don't fill it in, there's no indication that's why
the page isn't saving. Can I change either of these?

I've worked this out now - command line option.

This is still a problem.

(b) is a regression, which I still don't understand. On (a), see the commented config file: you can set a default log message.
