Hello everyone,

there's an error in the italian translation: the word "comment" is
translated "commento" and that's right but the plural "comments" is
translated "commentos", this is wrong, the right translation is
"commenti".

Cheers ;)

Hello w4nderlust,

can you give us a link where you see the translation error? I can't
find the word "commentos" neither in the translation nor in the main
github pages.

Thanks!
Francesco

Hello Francesco,

any discussion page, for example:
https://github.com/ideashower/sharekit/issues

You cans see "commentos" everywhere :)

Maybe, they are using rails' inflector.

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately we don't have great support for i18n'd pluralizations so there's probably quite a few errors like this when the plural of a word isn't just + 's'

It's something we'd like to work on as we improve the i18n portion of our site, but I can't tell you when we'll get to it.

Thanks!

Hi Kyle,

A couple of us have offered to help with translations but got no
response from anyone at Github.

Could you give us some clarity on the process?

Cheers,
Wynand

Where are you posting these offers?

The messages immediately preceding this thread. I just saw that the
farnoy's message got a response: we have to mail Scott (http://
github.com/schacon).

Sorry, I guess I didn't do a good job of explaining. These pluralization related errors cannot be fixed by translators. It requires a rework in the way our translation framework functions, so unfortunately that means there's no way to help us fix those right now.
