I don't know if this is the correct forum for this, but here goes.
I find that I use "git status" quite regularly. Maybe I've missed it,
but it doesn't seem to be accessible from the gui. I have to open a
git bash shell and use the command line. While not exactly long-
winded I feel it would be good to have an entry in the Commands pull-
down menu to issue "git status" with perhaps radio buttons or tick
boxes for common options and the output piped to a text window
perhaps?
Cracking tool BTW.
Best Regards
Paul

Personally I use commit dialog to see what changed. Is there something that is missing your needs?

On the Settings Git extensions tab, there is a checkox for show repository status in browse dialog that is close to what you want. It will give you the count of changed files, when you click it will take you to the commit dialog that will show the details of what is staged/unstaged.
