System.ArgumentNullException whiling applying patch

i was applying a patch a few days ago. as soon as i hit the apply patch button in the patch window i get the following exception. i dont remember what the patch is now.

the problem is i cant cancel the patch. it shows the flashing "You are in the middle of applying a patch" message at the bottom but i get the error if i click on it.

We can't reproduce this issue. Sorry but we can't help without full call stack.
