Is there already a way to search for a Commit-hash in GitExtensions?
Can you search for tags?

You can use the quicksearch. When the focus is on the revision grid, just start typing and you will jump to the commit containing the text. Both commit-hashes and tags are searched.

Nice - I have not been aware of that feature.

Still it would be nice to have the possibility also to search for commit-hashes using the Filter. e.g. you find an interesting change in the file history (e.g. using blame) - and now you would like to take a closer look at the whole commit.

Yes, I agree. It's the main reason I still need to open gitk once in a while. I plan on adding that feature when I get some time, but if anyone can't wait that long, by all means... :)

Adrian.
