Hi,

I'm trying to get GitBlit working with SSH protocol and a VisualStudio 2010 IDE with the Git Extensions add-on.
GitBlit doesn't seem to accept the public keys generated by puttygen, only keys made with ssh-keygen.
So am I stuck with OpenSSH instead of PuTTY, or what's going on?
Anybody else have experience with this?

Kind regards,
Bert.

Did you put the OpenSSH formated public key into GitBlit or did you use the key file directly?

You can export the keys to OpenSSH format. In PuTTYgen when you load a key, in the top part of the window you see the public key in OpenSSH format under "Public key for pasting into OpenSSH aujtorized_keys file". Pasting this key to an empty file and using it for Gitblit should work. The private keys can be exported via the "Conversions" menu.
