The tree of satisfaction satisfies all desires, but it is only wood ; the mount Meru is golden, but it is immovable ; Cintāmaņi is the best of gems, but it is a stone ; the Sun is the source of light, but its rays are unbearable ; the Moon is cool and imparts tranquility, but its rays undergoes a change of form ; the sea is boundless, but its rays undergoes is salt ; lust is beautiful, but without a body ; Bali is a great benefactor, but he is a demon ; the bull is strong and noble, but it is an animal ; all these have one defect or another and so they are incapable of being compared to thee, O Rāma. Whom shall we compare thee to ? None deserves this honour.
