The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is a provincial immigration program that allows the province of Nova Scotia to nominate skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR). Nova Scotia is one of the most attractive provinces in Canada, known for its beautiful environment, strong job market, affordable living, and welcoming communities. The NSNP program is designed to attract individuals who can support the province’s economic growth and fill labor shortages in key sectors.

NSNP offers various immigration streams, including the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry, Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities, Skilled Worker Stream, Occupation in Demand Stream, and entrepreneur-focused streams. Many of these streams are linked with the Express Entry system, which is beneficial because candidates who receive a provincial nomination gain an additional 600 CRS points, greatly improving their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.

Nova Scotia has high demand for skilled workers in industries such as healthcare, IT, engineering, construction, hospitality, finance, education, and skilled trades. The Occupation in Demand stream is especially helpful for candidates with experience in specific high-demand jobs. International graduates who have studied in Nova Scotia may also qualify for special pathways to PR.
