कार्पण्यवृत्तिः स्वजनेषु निंदा कुचेलता नीचजनेषु भक्तिः ।
अतीव रोषः कटुका च वाणी नरस्य चिह्नं नरकागतस्य ॥
kārpaṇyavṛttiḥ svajaneṣu niṃdā kucelatā nīcajaneṣu bhaktiḥ |
atīva roṣaḥ kaṭukā ca vāṇī narasya cihnaṃ narakāgatasya ||
Miserly habits, derision of relatives, dirty clothing, devotion to the low born, excessive anger and a harsh tongue - all these are indications of one who has come, as it were, from hell.
