काव्यस्याम्रफलस्यापि कोमलस्येतरस्य च ।
बन्धच्छायाविशेषेण रसोऽप्यन्यादृशो भवेत् ॥
kāvyasyāmraphalasyāpi komalasyetarasya ca |
bandhacchāyāviśeṣeṇa raso'pyanyādṛśo bhavet ||
In a poem as well as in a mango fruit, the goodness or otherwise depends upon the bandhacchāyā (the brilliance with which it is composed or its pleasing appearance) ; their rasa (sentiments or taste) is also different (according to its kind).
