काव्यप्रपञ्चचुञ्चू रचयति काव्यं न सारविद् भवति ।
तरवः फलानि सुवते विन्दति सारं पतङ्गसमुदायः ॥
kāvyaprapañcacuñcū racayati kāvyaṃ na sāravid bhavati |
taravaḥ phalāni suvate vindati sāraṃ pataṅgasamudāyaḥ ||
A poet well-versed in the world of poetry composes a poem, but he does not fully appreciate its merits ; the tree gives birth to fruits, but it is the flock of birds that appreciates the sweetness.
